I didn't enjoy Wanted so much as I enjoyed making fun of it. It was essentially both star wars trilogies hashed together, taking place in the USA with guns and an absurd plot, and is apparently NOTHING like the comics off of which it was based.(for instance, superpowers were replaced with guns and adrenaline. The perfect-aim and adrenaline thing was apparently only the main character's ability, rather than that of everyone's). However it got an A+ on visual style and on acting. Well, most of the acting anyway. It is a movie worthy of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

And all the characters were sociopaths.

Addendum: It's ... it's just a proof of concept issue; if you take an awful screenplay, and add great special effects, great acting, and great direction, you still have, at best ... a great rendition of an awful movie.

Sometime within the past year, my old myspace account has been recycled by someone new. Too bad I never took off my myspace link until now :-) and I've just been accused of posing. Fucking hilarious. Well, it's all yours now, pal.

The expiration date of my current screen name has finally arrived. 5 years is a good run, though. I'm not complaining.

Funny thing is that everyone thinks they're so damn original... including me, of course ... but I am original, just like everyone else, right? :-p

Something witty this way comes.

Long time, no see. The webcomic is coming. I'll have an interesting URL for y'all early next week. I don't want to give it away just yet, lest a squatter finds a turnover opportunity!

Check out the virtual js/unix console.
Oh the ideas that come to mind, eh?

New Software!!!

If you have been away from civilization (ostensibly, away from an internet connection) for a few days, you probably don't know that Firefox 3 was released yesterday ... after which the site promptly and unsurprisingly died of DoS. :-) It came back up a few hours later, of course, ready and waiting.

Kudoz to the people behind the python program Juice, for podcast rss feeds.

As for regular RSS, I hope that a good firefox plugin will cover my needs, along with and digg.

These past few weeks I've found a great deal of good software.

I have found comfort and joy in the use of Peer Guardian 2 and Emsa Portblocker,
TCPOptimizer 2.1 (Windows) is a lovely, lovely program. that, when used correctly, makes your existing internet connection oh so nice.
Switch(Windows) is a lovely mass-converter tool for music files.

Of art programs, I'm still investigating the top among these candidates for finalizing the webcomics: (I'm really hyped about Synfig - I hope it lives up to the hype.)
Serif DrawPlus

I've finally completed the Rubik's Cube, using Lars Petrus' method. It still takes me about 5-10 minutes, but meh, I've always wanted to know how to do that. The interesting thing is that once you learn to solve the 3x3x3 cube, you automatically know how to solve the 2x2x2 cube. (Something that should've been obvious to me years ago ...)
